Threshold does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. There is no account, no analytics, and nothing to opt out of.
Nothing. Threshold has no account system, no analytics or crash reporting SDK, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. It makes no network requests at all: every font, tone and image is bundled in the app itself, so nothing about your use of it reaches us or anyone else. The only exception is Google Play's own purchase flow, if and when you choose to buy the unlock.
Everything you create in the app is stored only on your own phone, and only your phone. That includes:
None of it is sent anywhere. We have no server that could receive it and no way to see any of it.
An Extended remote viewing session can record your voice so you can write the session up afterwards. The recording is made on your device, kept on your device, and never uploaded. The permission is optional — decline it and the app runs the same session with prompts only.
If you have Android's backup feature switched on, some app data — your settings and your session log — may be included in your own Google Drive backup. That backup belongs to you and your Google account. We have no access to it and cannot read it.
The one-time unlock is processed entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details, card number, or billing address; Play tells the app only whether the purchase completed. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles the transaction itself.
Threshold is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, because we do not collect information at all.
Uninstalling the app removes all of its data from your device. If you have a Google Drive backup, you can delete it from your Google account settings. Because nothing ever leaves your device, there is nothing for us to delete on our side and no request you need to send us.
If this policy ever changes — for example if a future version of the app adds crash reporting — this page will be updated and the date at the top will change. Any change that affects what leaves your device will also be disclosed in the app's Play Store listing under Data Safety.
